Mr Ivan Koh
RAD Ballet, Contemporary, Competition Training
Mr Ivan is a freelance dance educator, choreographer, and performing artist with extensive training and professional experience across contemporary and ballet disciplines. A graduate of the School of the Arts (SOTA), Singapore, Ivan furthered his dance education at the New Zealand School of Dance (NZSD) on a full scholarship, where he refined his technical foundation and performance artistry.
Mr Ivan spent seven years as a company artist with Singapore Ballet (formerly Singapore Dance Theatre), performing a wide range of classical and contemporary repertoire. His professional career also includes two years with the Music and Drama Company as a performing artist and choreographer, touring and performing both locally and internationally. In addition, he has appeared as a guest performer with Dance Ensemble Singapore in a contemporary ballet creation by Anh Nguyen.

As an educator, Mr Ivan has taught at leading institutions including School of the Arts Singapore and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), and has been a guest teacher at multiple dance studios across Singapore. He brings a strong understanding of technical clarity, performance quality, and artistic intention - key elements for competitive success.
Mr Ivan is known for his personalised coaching approach, working closely with dancers to identify technical challenges, refine movement efficiency, and build confidence on stage. His experience as both a professional performer and educator allows him to guide competition students in translating technique into impactful, score-ready performances.
Mr Ivan was awarded Gold in the Contemporary category at the CSTD Competition in 2012, giving him firsthand insight into the demands and standards of judged performance.
